The Pierre-Gilles de Gennes Institute (IPGG)

The Pierre-Gilles de Gennes Institute (IPGG) is the
main academic research centre in France solely dedicated to
microfluidics. Based in the heart of Paris it includes 15 research teams
selected among the best institutions, representing about 200 research
staff. The institute has developed a strong philosophy of
interdisciplinary research in order to foster breakthrough innovation.
This has led to the creation of 16 start-ups in just a few years. The
fields of study cover subjects ranging from physics to chemistry and
biology with many applications in healthcare, pharmaceuticals,
environment and energy.
