Conducting an Owner-Manager Debriefing Meeting

We highly recommend that you organize a debriefing meeting to discuss the MMBA results amongst all the participants.

What Is The Purpose Of This Gathering?

Sharing the MMBA results, and providing an open discussion amongst the owner-managers who participated, is an excellent way to utilize the MMBA fully. The report point out the firm's strengths and weaknesses, and it provides recommendations that will improve the strategic standing of the firm. Implementing these recommendations requires buy-in and open communication between owners and managers.

Who Should be Invited?

All participants in the MMBA assessment should be invited. In family firms, any family member who works in or has an ownership stake in the business should be invited. Sons-in-law and daughters-in-law who serve an active role in the business should be invited . Many families invite any family member who works in the enterprise who is 14 years or older. Key managers should be invited.

In non-family owned firms all owners should be invited, as well as key managers.
