CfBI  - Who we are, what we do and how we can help you!!

line

The Centre for Business Innovation Limited (CfBI) is a new type of service organisation, headquartered in  Cambridge, UK. We create and facilitate communities whose participants work together in a trusting environment, towards common goals or under a brand which reflects their values and beliefs in order to 'do more with less' in the spirit of Open Innovation.

CfBI’s team have been refining the formula for over fifteen years to help members all over the world to get optimum benefit.

We have created two types of community for corporates and individuals respectively::

  • (Corporate) Collaborative Consortia: where world class companies, research institutes and government agencies from all over Europe and USA  shape and share 12 month learning, implementation and influencing programmes around fast moving, high impact, areas of technology and business process. During the Covid19 crisis we are continuing to operate our consortia - on Zoom. Enabling members from around the world to participate.

Key benefits of joining these confidential and professionally facilitated consortia
include:  accelerated learning, leveraging insights/experience of other members, scanning horizon for new opportunities; benchmarking; finding best practices, promoting standards; influencing regulators; visiting centres of excellence and meeting international experts in their natural environment; bidding for research projects, sharing research & development costs and doing a few deals on the side! Consortium members also get free access to Cambridge Innovation Summit where we shape future consortia each year.

Check out the menu on the left hand to find consortia which fit with your organisations needs and interests!
  • (Individual) Connected Communities: where entrepreneurial individuals around the world in particular regions with exceptional business or technology become affiliated in order to network with other members of their own or peer group communities.

Key benefits include: local networking; global contacts; growing clusters, exploring job & entrepreneurial opportunities, making friends and influencing people!

We manage the consortium membership mix to maximize benefit to members, to deal with potential conflicts of interest and covert agendas. . Members of CfBI consortia (some of whom have been with us for over seven years and have joined multiple consortia) find us informed, inspirational and easy to work with. CfBI does not hold intellectual property or sell consultancy.

Membership of our consortia is by annual subscription allowing 3 'unnamed' seats (seen by members as business development, R&D, marketing, operations, training or strategic investment depending on the different KPIs they are seeking to address). There is no NDA involved - so if you have a secret - don't tell!  Each CfBI consortium meets 5 or 6 times per year at memorable international locations. CfBI  consortium facilitators ensure greater insight and focus on member needs from private discussion, interactive sessions  and briefing than would be gained from attending conferences while not involving the levels of expense associated with dedicated consultancy.

CfBI  is always experimenting and launching new consortia to meet strategic, tactical, innovation or training needs of its members. Explore this  site then email us,  to set up a call about how our formula could help your organisation do more with less!
